There could be a very cold hard winter, and the birds love suet products. This is far easier to use than the traditional fat balls, rspb now reporting some problems using those, as small birds, can get their claws entangled with the mesh. We found sprinkling the fat pellets, amongst the other bird seed on tables and feeders, was quite successful, and also very handy to spread on the ground for ground feeding birds, had so many varieties, coming to our garden. Can recommend and we have not received any complaints from the birds.
